Austin’s KUTX 98.9 named 2 of Ty Richards’ songs in their top 2017 list!
“This is a total ear worm.” Matt Reilly says about “Shoulda Coulda Woulda”
On “Going Out for a Cigarette” Elizabeth McQueen says:
“I find myself dissecting this pop gem every time I listen to it. The sounds are cool, the lyrics get me, and there’s a special something about it that is super compelling. But what exactly is it?!? I still haven’t figured it out, which means I get to listen to it on repeat again! YAY!”
Impose Magazine is premiering Ty Richards’ new single “Spaceman” on their front page today with a feature article and live stream. They wrote that the song is “interstellar, but almost like what the 70’s versions of us would assume the future would sound like, if that makes sense.” It sounds like they get it :)
Today Austin’s own KUTX 98.9 is featuring Ty Richards’ new single “Spaceman” for their “Song of the Day”. Keep your ears peeled this afternoon.
Eklektikos Producer Taylor Wallace writes this:
“Spaceman” is a song meant to elicit big grins and bumping heads. It’s fun, psychedelic and laid-back – a pleasant reminder that music is meant to be enjoyed presently and neither the musician nor the listener has to be in any hurry to reach a raucous climax or get to the end. Just relax, move your noggin, and enjoy the slow-burn.”
I’m excited to announce that the first single is out now! Go listen/buy everywhere music is sold. You can also listen right here. Ty Richards’ Zillion will be released on February 3, 2017. You can also pre-order the record and get it the moment it comes out here.
Thanks to Solstice Live and all the unbelievable bands – Mantra Love, Continental Drift, Palm Daze, and Empire Machines that made this happen. The show was a wild success and I couldn’t have asked for more. There was such a special vibe at Barracuda on this night that is hard to explain, but it was a perfect mixture of excitement and chill-ness. Thanks to Barracuda for having us!
